Often called 'The Norway of the Arabian Gulf' because of its fjords equated to Norway's fjords, Musandam has some of the most dramatic panorama in the Arabian Peninsula. The glorious Hajar mountain range dominates its scenery with its notched cliffs and serrated peaks rising 2000 meters above the sea level and ending with Ru'us Al Jibal plummeting dramatically and dizzyingly into the sea. The Musandam Peninsula has a host of mysterious khors, the fjords of Arabia -none more tempting than 'Khor As-Sham', the largest fjord in Musandam.

Musandam Khasab Description :
Khasab means fertility, is a old-fashioned town situated at the base of Wadi Khasab and is the capital of Musandam. It overlooks the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Oman and the passages of Hormuz. Enjoy an early morning voyage to Khasab after pick-up from Dubai via Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. The drive to Khasab in itself is part of the experience as it crosses from side to side and over the mountains alongside the beautiful coastal road. On arrival at the bustling harbour of Khasab, get on a traditional Omani dhow for a full day relaxing cruise to the picturesque, stunning and quiet ‘Khor as-Sham’, the longest fjord in Musandam. The coastline is sprinkled with pretty fishing settlements and coastal villages with old stone houses. Besides having a range of aquatic life, there is a good possibility to spot the interested, friendly and playful wild ‘bottle nosed’ and ‘spinner Dolphins’, who can amuse lucky visitors with displays of aerial acrobatics.
We anchor at the well-known ‘Telegraph Island’. It was a station along the telegraph cable that linked London to Iraq's southern city of Basra and onwards to Bombay. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the clear, fascinating waters at the Telegraph and Seebi Islands. Later we sail back to Khasab harbour.
